House of Cards is a fictional series on Netflix, and is
an adaptation of the original British novel on the BBC. Set in Washington,
D.C., House of Card is the story of the ambitious Frank Underwood (Kevin
Spacey), a Democrat from South Carolina who does everything possible to be
President of the United States.
The series
deals mainly with moments of pragmatism, manipulation and ruthless power.
Important character that people love to follow. But the interesting point is
that, at the beginning, the story of fiction mingles with real life, sometimes
you think that Frank Underwood is a real politician, corrupt and arrogant, like
our politicians. We see these cases every day in newspapers and TV news.
The advertising about the fourth season of House of Card
was the most interesting, interactive and real advertising of the last years. CNBC made a guess that about 5 million people watched at
least the first episode of fourth season, and usually you wait almost a year
for the next season, so you will probably be very anxious to continually see
your series.
In 2006, Netflix began advertising a fictional political
thriller in a year when true politics would conquer the show in the US. The
reason for this Netflix campaign was for the new season of House of Cards
(Fourth), which Frank Underwood was running for president.
This campaign happened during the biggest debate in
American history, between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump, among all the
candidate's speech were Frank Underwood as a new candidate, on TV comercial
Now for Season 5, which begins May 30, Kevin Spacey
(Frank) said this new season will be "scarier than we've ever been
before," noting similarities between the Underwood campaign and Trump's America.
So as we see the continuation of the series will invest in the junction of
reality and fiction. Many will be the similarities with our present next
season.
